"Open day" for QCL Beef Week

9 am, Sunday the 20th July 2014.

We had a lovely relaxing day showing our many visitors our sale bulls and females for our Performance Plus sale on property on the 23rd August.

Renowned Droughtmaster studs Vale View and High Country Droughtmasters have joined forces to announce they will host the inaugural "Performance Plus” Droughtmaster bull and female sale in Toogoolawah, in the Brisbane Valley... next year.

The sale will be held on the 23rd of August 2014 on farm at High Country Droughtmasters and conducted by local selling agents Shepherdson and Boyd.

The two studs will be offering 40 to 50 quality bulls and a select number of females and will bring some of the very best bloodlines in the breed to the buyers in the Brisbane Valley and surrounding areas.

Both studs aim to produce affordable bulls that comply with the ‘standard of excellence’ and which have been prepared to go straight into the paddock and work. This "ready to work" preparation has been critical to their past success both in the auction ring as well as paddock sales.

The “Performance Plus” sale continues this strategy with one of the major advantages to buyers being that the cattle offered originate from the area and have been running on the same country as where they will be offered for auction.

With over 40 combined years’ experience in the stud industry, the two studs have made significant investments in genetics from studs such as Glenlands, Billabong, Minlacowie, Talgai, Hamadra, Needmor and Rondel, and have always been able to meet the market for the everyday commercial bull buyer without compromising on quality. Affordability for their buyers is critical to their breeding programs.

As the sale date approaches, further information will be released regarding some fantastic incentives on offer to buyers. These breeders are very serious about not only making this sale a success, but building a sale that is sustainable for the future.

Keep up to date with our website and facebook pages which are under construction and will be live soon.

High Country Droughtmasters was founded in 2010. We aim to produce
fertile, functional, structurally correct cattle that are selected on
commercially viable traits.

In 2012, we joined 110 registered breeders which run over ticky
native spear grass country ranging from undulating hills to steeper forest country.

We hope you enjoy our site and welcome paddock enquiries at any
time for bulls or heifers.
